Mark Zuckerberg is sending a message loud and clear.

Facebook’s CEO announced this morning that the social media platform will be indefinitely suspending President Donald Trump’s account.

“We are extending the block we have placed on his Facebook and Instagram accounts indefinitely and for at least the next two weeks until the peaceful transition of power is complete,” Zuckerberg said in the post.

In his statement, Zuckerberg asserts that yesterday’s events clearly indicate that Trump “intends to use his remaining time in office to undermine the peaceful and lawful transition of power to his elected successor, Joe Biden.”

The rationale for Zuckerberg’s decision completely ignores Trump’s official statement on the Electoral College’s certification.

“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th.”

Zuckerberg’s unprecedented move of censorship should scare every person in this country who believes in free exchange of ideas.
